Thank you for visiting my webpage. I am honored to currently serve Texas as a Justice of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals. The Fourteenth Court of Appeals rules on appeals taken from civil and criminal cases tried in district and county courts in the Texas counties of Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Waller, and Washington.
I am committed to the rule of law. I employ the United States Constitution and laws of Texas as written and do not legislate public policy from the bench. I am respectful of the rights of parties that must have access to the courts. And I am prepared to ensure the continued fairness, integrity and independence of the Texas judiciary.
Texans deserve to have proficient, dedicated judges who share this philosophy of judicial restraint. That is why I sought appointment to the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, and it is why I ask for your support and your vote.
As an incumbent Justice, I must periodically stand for election to retain my seat on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals.
